ThinkNW Marketing All-Star Profile: Craig McNary, Director of Brand and Advertising at Xbox

We asked our honorees to share a bit about their work, lives and what the Pacific Northwest means to them.

Here’s what Craig NcNary, Director of Brand and Advertising at Xbox, had to say.

How long have you been in your current role?

Six years.

What do you value most in your work in this role, and what do you consider your biggest accomplishment in your current role?

I very much value being a part of an amazing and inclusive team that is constantly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in marketing and communications.

What do you like to do outside of your work?

Photography is a big part of my life. It keeps me fresh as a creative and allows me to explore and see new perspectives. IG: craigr.mc

What impact does the Pacific Northwest have on your work?

It’s a great region for creative talent given its roots in arts, culture and music. The beautiful scenery with the mountains and coast offer easy access and opportunities to recharge and stay connected to nature. It’s also a great place to raise a family.

How would you characterize the Pacific Northwest marketing/creative community? In your mind, what makes it unique?

Bold and diverse given the vast range of industries and global brands in the region., from Nike to Starbucks, Amazon, Boeing, and so many others. It creates a very innovative, bold community that propels the advertising industry forward in many ways.
