The Account Supervisor (AS) is the lead liaison between the client and agency. They lead the pace for projects/accounts and are responsible for client presentations, managing feedback, and gaining internal and external approvals. The AS manages big-budget integrated campaigns – including TV, out of home, digital, social and activations.

The general philosophy of account management at Opinionated is – you are the second best at everyone else’s role, but the best at communicating. As an Account Supervisor, you will:

  • Collaborate with Strategy to develop a strong creative brief and concept based on the client’s initial brief, presenting the agency’s response to clients.
  • Protect agency and client interests by thoughtfully providing feedback and assessing work against briefs, objectives, etc.
  • Write strong agency points of view based on sound rationale and previous experience to sell through difficult concepts.
  • Manage the production and execution of creative campaigns from concept to delivery, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within budget.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, while ensuring a deep understanding of client business goals, brand positioning, and market dynamics.
  • Lead the Integrated Agency Team and ensure a strong grasp of media plans; has a strong grasp of all workstreams and ensures cohesiveness among all communications.
  • Identify and solve problems, thinking ahead to find solutions to meet both agency and client needs.
  • Issue and update written weekly status and conference call reports following meetings to ensure client and agency are in agreement.
  • Attend shoots to ensure client/creative approval and satisfaction.
  • Support the agency in new business pitches and proposals.
  • Manage, lead, and develop Assistant Account Executive and Account Executive, providing guidance, coaching, feedback, and support to achieve client and agency goals.

You are interested in learning more about our client’s business, but at the same time ready to help grow and support the account team. In addition, you have:

  • A minimum 6 years of account management experience in a creative advertising agency is required.
  • A commitment to a hybrid environment, working 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
  • Deep understanding of media landscape – particularly digital and social – and can interpret and help explain measurement reporting and strategies.
  • Financial understanding of budgeting and estimating (what things cost and why); how project and budget management impacts account and agency profitability.
  • Ability to work across multiple supervisors and accounts/projects.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment.
  • Ability to lead and develop direct reports, providing challenging and stretching tasks and assignments, while creating strong morale and spirit on the team and managing accountability as needed.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills (in English), allowing for clear and succinct communication in a variety of settings (phone, in-person and email), and with people of various backgrounds and levels, both internally and externally.
  • Experience with various technologies and platforms: Mac OS, Keynote, Box, Slack, Microsoft Office suite, Google Suite & Drive.
  • Deep organizational skills with an eye for attention to detail.
  • Ability to successfully build rapport and collaborative partnerships based on mutual trust and respect with all levels of employees, managers, partners and clients.
  • The ability to periodically work after hours and travel overnight, as required for projects.
