The Account Executive (AE) acts at the main liaison between the agency and the client. The AE is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the client account, including client presentations and gaining internal and external creative concept approval. As one of our talented AEs, you will manage most out-of-home, digital and social campaigns, as well as mid-budget TV work.

The general philosophy of account management at Opinionated is: you are the second best at everyone else’s role, but the best at communicating. Your role will involve:

  • Primary day-to-day client contact.
  • Research and understand the brand, its category and its competitors, staying on top of marketing and media trends.
  • Work directly with Strategy, ensuring they have all information needed for a strong, inspiring creative brief.
  • Evaluate creative ideas against the brief’s requirements and work to sell through evolving concepts.
  • Ensure  projects successfully move through the agency; setting internal meetings and check-ins, owning client facing and internal invites.
  • Issue and update written weekly status and conference call reports following meetings to ensure client and agency are in agreement.
  • Effectively facilitate the communication between Opinionated, our clients, and our partner agencies (media, communications, digital, public relations, etc.) ensuring seamless creative outcome and media placement.
  • Ensure projects stay on schedule and budget, through a thorough understanding of the production processes.
  • Supports the presentation of production estimates and schedules for client approval.
  • Collaborate with producers and project management to create schedules, and open and close job numbers.
  • Attend shoots to ensure client approval and satisfaction.
  • Oversee the day-to-day responsibilities of the Assistant Account Executive on assigned projects.

You’re eager to learn more about strategy and master the production process, and ready to jump into projects at any stage. Your attention to detail will keep the team and client motivated and moving forward. In addition, you have:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ account management experience in a highly creative advertising agency.
  • Ability to work across multiple supervisors and accounts/projects.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills (in English), allowing for clear and succinct communication in a variety of settings (phone, in-person and email), and with people of various backgrounds and levels, both internally and externally.
  • A strong client focus, with dedication to meeting the expectations, needs and requirements of internal and external partners, successfully gaining their trust and respect.
  • Experience with various technologies and platforms: Mac OS, KeyNote, Box, Slack, Microsoft Office suite, Google Suite & Drive.
  • Deep organizational skills with an eye for attention to detail.
  • Exceptional initiative and follow through skills.
  • A commitment to teamwork and the ability to think proactively; ready to jump in whenever and wherever needed.
  • The ability to periodically work after hours and travel overnight, as required for projects.
  • Ability to successfully build rapport and collaborative partnerships based on mutual trust and respect with all levels of employees, managers, partners and clients.
